April 2018 Racing Newsletter
Well our summer sailing season is now completed and time for planning for next season.
But first I wish to recognise all the series winners. Our last race out was certainly different from our usual consistent breezes we get in Belmont Bay and turned out to be quite a challenge and leveler for many with the big glass outs and wind shifts restarting, or resetting, the fleet a couple of times. I wonder how the final day results mixed up the series results. I expect there were plenty of cheering and plenty of groaning going on out on the race course!

The 11 race Winter Series, will commence Sunday 20th May 2018. Winter races are held on Sundays excluding the June long week end. See the White Book for the Sailing Instructions.
Good Luck to all LMYC Yachts and Sailors competing over Winter in the Port Stephens, Airlie Beach, Hamilton Island and Magnetic Island race Weeks as well as any doing ‘The Southport’ and other offshore races.
If it is just cruising I hope you have a great, and relaxing, time. I know there are quite a few ‘Grey Nomad Sailors’ out there who cruise north in the winter and return home in Spring. Enjoy!
