Sailing Administration

The 2018-19 Program and White book are now on the LMYC website. Printed copies will be available from the middle of August.

As mentioned before, we have added some extra races to the program, but more importantly, a number of course changes have been made to Saturday, Wednesday, Friday and Long Lake races.

I wish to thank our course committee for their time and effort.

We have also needed to highlight the issue of contrasting sail numbers on our competing boats

(SI 1.11.2) as the Race Officers are having trouble with Black/Grey sails in recording finishing times. A number of photos were taken recently during one of our Wednesday races to demonstrate the difficulty. It should be noted the last few photos were taken on a 40-45 meter finish line.

Boat audits.

Audits will again be conducted at the club over the last two weekends in August. Please be sensible and book a time with our auditors early and don’t leave till the last minute. Skippers are reminded that Insurance details need to be presented and recorded by our auditors to satisfy the Clubs commitments under the Australian Sailing Rules of Racing.

Winter racing

We have two more races to go in the Sunday Winter series and the leading contenders are

Flying Colours, Jam and Pogue Mohone. Hopefully we don’t get any more abandonments and the series can be decided on a great sailing.

The Wednesday Winter series 2 has only had 3 races to date with Excessive and Hijinx tied on equal 1st place.
