About the Windwarriors
Lake Macquarie Yacht Club members operate a fleet of radio controlled yachts known as the Windwarriors.
The Windwarrior is a New Zealand designed radio controlled model yacht with a worldwide fleet. Racing is conducted for 1 1/2 hours and in that period from 6 to 8 races are scheduled. The entry fee for the racing is $3 for the day. A competitor must also be a member of Lake Macquarie Yacht Club. Spectators are welcome and skippers will be prepared to allow you to have a sailing trial.
The Windwarriors are raced from the Northern side of the Clubhouse on Thursday afternoons from 5.00 pm and Saturdays during April to August from 1:30pm.
