SPECIAL REGULATIONS
Australian Sailing Special Regulations (AS SR) for equipment may be downloaded in full from the Australian Sailing website or use the appropriate Compliance Form below.
LMYC EQUIPMENT AUDITS
A boat competing in LMYC races is required by LMYC Sailing Instruction 6.2 to hold a current Equipment Compliance Certificate (ECC). Each LMYC ECC expires on the 30th August after the date of issue.
Special weekends are set aside for yachts to be audited for their equipment, being the two weekends immediately preceding the beginning of the racing season in September, alternatively, outside these weekends a booking should be made direct with a Club Equipment Auditor whose names are set out on the Sailing Instructions.
It is the responsibility of an Owner or Boat’s representative to have the boat at the Club marina, with all equipment laid out and on board at the appointed time. Boats not ready will be moved to the end of the day’s inspection list or inspection cancelled.
The following Equipment Audit Forms shall be used and their use complies with LMYC Sailing Instruction 6.3
OFFSHORE RACING
The following Form shall be used for offshore racing in accordance with LMYC Sailing Instruction 5.2
Category 4 (an audit fee of $22.00 applies)
In addition to the Equipment required by the above Form the following additional items shall be carried to comply with LMYC Sailing Instruction 5.2 namely,
- An EPIRB complying with YASR 4.18.1 and 4.18.3
- The boat shall meet the Resistance to Capsize requirements of YA SR Part 1 Appendix B.
- 3rd Party Insurance not less than $10 million
- LMYC Sailing Instruction Book for the forthcoming season and the separate Offshore Sailing Instructions.
- Newcastle Harbour Saftey Booklet.
INSHORE RACING
The following Form shall be used for inshore racing in accordance with LMYC Sailing Instruction 5.1
Category 7 audit form an audit fee of $11.00 applies
In addition to the Equipment required by the above Form the following additional items shall be carried to comply with LMYC Sailing Instruction 5.1 namely,
- A marine radio
- A mobile phone.
- 3rd Party Insurance not less than $10 million
- LMYC Sailing Instruction Book for the forthcoming season
